A female suicide bomber on Sunday killed at least 16 persons and injured 32 others when a she blew herself up at a central Motor park in Damaturu, Yobe State capital. Survivor and Police officials said.
The female suicide bomber hid the bomb under her long hijab and gown and gain entrance into the Damaturu Motor park and exploded says Ibrahim Wali, a survivor
” my self alongside other survivors who were close to the scene of the bomb explosion saw over sixteen persons dead bodies while over 30 injured persons were taken to the Damaturu General Hospital.
” the death toll may increase because the injured persons are in critical condition ; some of them have their body parts chopped off by the bomb explosion ” Wali said
Police Commissioner in Yobe state also confirm the incident and said that the situation is under control but gave different casualty figure.
” the female suicide bomber killed her self and seven others while 32 persons sustained various degree of injury and have been taken to the hospital.
” we have cordon off the area of the bomb explosion and stop and search operation is intensified ” Markus said on phone today
