Udoedehe: Umana Is A Thief Who Brought Injustice To APC
Umana: Udoedehe Is A Thug, Obong Attah Has Endorsed My Candidacy
All is not well with the All Progressive Congress in Akwa Ibom State, as the bickering between the top members of the party has further degenerated to a media war with accusations and counter-accusations.
Recent altercations on the media between Senator John James Akpanudoedehe, a founding member and APC Governorship Aspirant in the 2015 General Elections, and Mr Umana Umana the party’s governorship candidate shows that the APC house has been polarized into two factions that may only be united by a miracle before the general elections.
Udoedehe on a recent radio interview had echoed a fresh wound caused by the outcome of the party’s primary and alleged that Umana Umana was only an impostor who was flying the party’s ticket illegally, following an inconclusive primary election.
According to him, it is only the court that can decide who will fly the APC’s flag in April Governorship elections as he is challenging the outcome of the primary which he claimed never took place, “The only person that has Satan’s phone number is God and he is fighting for me”
Udoedehe debunked insinuations that he has reconciled with Umana Okon Umana and had withdrawn his court case, saying that such will amount to a situation whereby someone comes to his house, opens his refrigerator and offers him a drink?
The Former FCT Minister of state maintained that he had paid his dues as a leading opposition for about eight years, thus APC should not treat him unfairly after his sacrifice, arguing that Umana Umana who was less popular than him decided to bring about injustice to the party?
Udoedeghe hinted that Mr Umana is completely incapable of springing any surprise against the PDP as opposition is not like planting water leafs in the garden.
“Let me tell you, progressiveness is not a matter of one week” Senator Udoedeghe said of Umana who only joined APC in November last year.
However in a swift reaction, Umana Umana denied knowledge of any litigation against his ambition, saying “I have not been served any court notice on the APC Governorship primaries and when that is done, we will reply him”.
Umana claimed that it was Senator Udoedehe who invaded the Uyo Township Stadium with thugs to cart away elections material, which is why the electoral officers resorted to open balloting.
“He invaded the venue of the primaries with his thugs and now wants to benefit from his thuggery”, Umana said on a live radio interview in Uyo.
Umana also hinted that he has been endorsed by former Governor Victor Attah ahead of the elections.
Said Umana, “yes I have the support of Obong Attah, and he will address my campaign rally in Uyo to show his support for me”
