2015 Polls: Adamawa PDP Pledges To Deliver Adamawa To President Jonathan

The Adamawa State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has mended differences between the different factions of the PDP that had threatened to withhold blanket endorsement of President Jonathan’s presidential campaign.

As a result of the formal reconciliation, those who spoke at the stakeholders meeting which was well attended by the party hierarchy including all aspirants for the different political offices, it was overwhelming agreed that President Goodluck Jonathan must secure more than the 65% above that of 2011.

Consequently, this has brought relief to Jonathan supporters who have feared that the wrangling in the party would have caused Jonathan some vital votes in the state.

The meeting which took place (Monday) at the Banquet hall of Government House saw thousand of supporters promising to do everything possible for the success of Jonathan at the federal level and Mallam Nuhu Ribadu at the state level.

Among those who spoke at the stakeholders meeting was Chief Joel Madaki who urged all party chairmen in the state against anti-party activities pointing out that they will be monitored.

According to chief Madaki state chairman of the party, feelers from some of the local government areas show that some were playing double standards.

In his speech, the Governor of the state Barrister James Bala Nggilari promised to set up a committee that will verify the true position of chairmen and others promising to deal with those found culpable.

Governor Nggilari promised to do everything humanly for Mr. President and Malam Nuhu Ribadu who he described as the Governor in waiting.

In what appears to be political yabis Senator (Dr) Silas Zwingina who hopes to represent Adamawa South Senatorial district at the senate urged all to vote Jonathan as president adding that Buhari had said prisons would be expanded.

According to Zwingina, Jonathan is a democrat to the core unlike Buhari who is not.
