Njiko Igbo Adopts Dr Goodluck Ebele Jonathan As Their Candidate For 2015 Presidential Election

Njiko Igbo Forum (NIF), a grassroots oriented organization east of the Niger, an affiliate of Ohaneze Ndigbo finally adopts Dr Goodluck Ebele Jonathan as their candidate for the 2015 Presidential Election.

Today the 21st January, 2015, in an enlarged NEC (NEC/stakeholders) meeting in Enugu and after a 3hrs heated debate on the personalities of the two major political gladiators seeking to be President in the 2015 Presidential Election-Gen Muhamadu Buhari (APC) and Dr Goodluck Ebele Jonathan (PDP), Dr Goodluck Ebele Jonathan was adopted.

It was resolved among other reasons for the choice that:-

1. Though physical infrastructure will be argued not to be noticed and felt by Ndigbo generally, Dr Goodluck Ebele Jonathan’s Presidency in the last four years has been of immense political, economic, and infrastructural value to Ndigbo. We realized after critical overview that where Ndigbo are in the last four years; politically, economically and infrastructural, we have never attained such since after the Biafran/Nigerian civil war.
2. We had insisted that ‘Aga Akpaya Akpa’ in concrete terms before consideration of any choice of candidate. We are satisfied with the major outcome of a delegation of Ndigbo led by the President General of Ohaneze Ndigbo in the person of Chief Ewo Igariwey who saw Mr President on the 14thJanuary, 2015 to agree on:-

(i)  The protection of the lives and properties of Ndigbo in the nineteen states of Nigeria before, during and after the 2015 general election whether Gen Muhamadu Buhari (APC) or Dr Goodluck Ebele Jonathan (PDP) wins.

(ii) The implementation of the National Conference report not doctored, immediately the 8th National Assembly is inaugurated.

(iii)  A progressive ‘DHLed’ approach to the development of all the structures that make for good living in the S/East zone of Nigeria in the next four years.

3. We also resolved that every Onyigbo especially the political class, to agree and pursue vigorously towards the actualization of Onyigbo becoming the President of Nigeria come 2019. Orgini! Habaa!! Are we not a major partner in this project called Nigeria?
4. Considering the above submissions, we therefore call on the united umbrella body of Ndigbo,Ohaneze Ndigbo, ably led by Chief Ewo Igariwey to go ahead, adopt without delay and encourage every voter onyigbo to vote Dr Goodluck Ebele Jonathan in the 2015 Presidential election.
5. We insist and call on every onyigbo to remain where you registered and vote Dr Goodluck Ebele Jonathan. Our destiny is in our hands (your PVCs). Your security is assured. No cause for alarm!
