Atiku Opens Multi-Billion Naira Beverage Factory In Adamawa

The Multi-billion naira expansion work at the Adama Beverages Ltd
Yola, has been completed and commissioned with a prospect for more
expansion in the near future.

Adama Beverages is a well known and respected producers of all brands
of bottle water and fruit juice of assorted brands.

The occasion attracted the high and the low with the State Governor
Barrister James Bala Nggilari being represented by his Deputy Alhaji
Saad M.C Tahir.

Speaking at the factory site situated at the Kofare Industrial
Estate, the Lamido of Adamawa Alhaji (Dr) Barkindo Aliyu Mustapha had
commended Alhaji Atiku Abubakar for his foresight in investing in
Adamawa State making him the greatest employer of workers next to the
State Government.

The paramount ruler and grand patron of Tabbital Pulaku world wide
challenged other sons and daughters of the state to emulate Atiku by
investing in Adamawa state.

He frowned at a situation whereby the elites of Adamawa State are
only heard when they are home for politics but their investments are
elsewhere.

Earlier, chairman, Board of Director of the Company Akin Kekere-Ekun
had appealed to the State Government to assist them and other
companies by constructing a durable road and drainage that would help
alleviate their challenges.

According to Akin, running a manufacturing company in this country is
fraught with challenges.

He noted that, theirs was further compounded with the security
situation in the area while energy generation and policy summersaults.

On the expansion, the chairman of the Board said the extension will
see job opportunities for 700 more people.

He explained that the expansion work gulped N3billion, the machinery
N1.9 billion while N750million was spent on civil works.

The Governor of Adamawa State represented by his deputy said Adamawa
State Government is committed in supporting the industrial growth of
the state.

Those who made goodwill messages all praised the efforts of Alhaji
Atiku Abubakar and expressed their support for him at all times.

The managing Director of the company, Alhaji Ahmed Jarma in a remark
to newsmen said this was a dream come true assuring that their
problems are over and would be able to meet the demands of their
customers.

Alhaji Ahmed said they have been making in roads to other parts even
though they have a problem of insurgency in parts of the north east
thereby stalling full business deals in those areas but was hopeful
that every situation will be dealt with.

Adama Beverages is a wholly owned Nigerian Company and was
incorporated on the 2nd of January 2004.

From 2004-2007, the company started with the production of sachet
water and in 2007 it went on to produce table water while the
following year 2008 saw the company commencing the production of fruit
juice.

Currently, the company produces six pack sizes of drinking water
products namely, sachet, five litre jar, 150Cl, 75Cl and 35Cl and in
addition, has five flavors in the juice segment namely, Apple,
Coconut, Pineapple, Mango, Orange and Tropical.

The company can now produce 40,000 water bottles per hour, and they
can boast of several awards to their credit.
