Tension In Adamawa: Policemen Kill 2 Fulani Boys

Two policemen have been arrested for alleged murder of two Fulani

youths in Toungo local Government area of Adamawa.

 

Reports have it that the two policemen allegedly shot their victims

over an argument of N50.

 

It was gathered that the incident took place just outside Local

Government headquarters at about 5 pm.

Sorry, there are no polls available at the moment.

National liaison officer of Miyetti Allah, Malam Sanusi Bara, told

reporters in Yola that but for pleading, his people would have reacted

violently.

 

According to the liaison officer, who gave the names of the two youths

as Jibo and Maikudi had five and three bullet holes in them and

produced some bullet shells he said was picked at the scene of the

incident.

 

Bara disclosed further that the deceased father Dawa Musa has now been

left to carter for Jibo’s two children and a wife which Maikudi was

preparing to marry.

 

Source of the shells bore number B080/811, NNY 1987.

 

A similar incident had taken place some weeks back where about 25

fulanis were said to have been killed in Bale village of Demsa Local

Government area.

 

Tension is rising in these areas as the Fulani’s are threatening

retaliation should the law not take its natural cause.

Police Relations Officer Othman Mohammed confirmed the report saying

the patrol team that caused the death of the two men were led by an

inspector.
