The immediate past interim North- East National Vice Chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC) Dr Umar Duhu has won House of Representative ticket to contest for the forth coming Michika/Madagali Federal Constituency election in Adamawa State.
Duhu polled 685 out of the total 733 votes cast to defeat his close rival, Anthony La’azarus who polled 3.
Umar Duhu has been a strong Chieftain of the opposition APP, ANPP before they merged to become APC where he served as its National Vice Chairman in charge of North-East. He also served in various capacities during his ANPP days. He was the ANPP Chairman in FCT and later served as an aide to Minister of State for Defence during President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua’s government of National unity.
