PDP Waiver: Orji Uzor Kalu Admits He Lied, Senatorial Bid Crashes

Information reaching 247ureports.com indicate that the former governor of Abia State, Mister Orji Uzor Kalu has finally cleared the air concerning his supposed special waiver obtained from the national Peoples Democratic Party [PDP]. According to available information, the former embattled governor admitted to his staff the Sun Newspapers that he did not obtain a waiver from the PDP as he had earlier told them. He went on to add that his “senatorial ambition has crashed“.

It was learnt the the national PDP wrote the embattled former governor today to inform him of the official denial of the special waiver. According to a source from the Sun Newspaper, Orji Uzor Kalu wept bitterly when he got the news. Orji Uzor Kalu, according to the source, called for a 20-minute meeting with the senior staff at the Sun Newspapers to inform them directly that the PDP has rejected his appeal for a waiver. Orji Uzor Kalu had instructed the Sun Newspaper to publish [last week] that the national PDP had granted him a special waiver to enable him contest for a senatorial seat in Abia State.

The embattled governor also cleared the air regarding him senatorial race without the PDP waiver. He made it clear that he has crashed out of the senatorial race. “I will not contest under the PPA, the PPA is dead in Nigeria, you can quote me“.
