State delegates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Adamawa State
have warned the national working committee of the party in Abuja to
not only rescind its decision on its state chairman and secretary
respectively else there will be trouble.
The delegates also lashed out at Alhaji Adamu Muazu National Chairman
of the party asking him to stop meddling into the party’s affairs in
the state or face the dire consequences.
They warned that both Chief Joel Madaki and his secretary Barrister
A.T Shehu can only be removed by a competent court of law.
The 678 delegates took these decisions recently at a sitting they had
at the Lelewal Motel in Yola when they passed a vote of confidence on
the party’s leadership in the state.
Delegates at the meeting also passed a vote of confidence on the
Governor of the State Barrister James Bala Ngillari.
All the speakers at the occasion said they, were happy with the
performances of the state exco but lamented that the national Chairman
of the party Alhaji Adamu Muazu’s plans to truncate all the good works
done by the state.
A delegate Musa Babakari Kamale said “the decision of the National
leadership to commute the dissolution to the selective suspension of
the chairman and his secretary to one month portrays the leadership of
the party in Abuja as one pursuing a narrow interest”.
Alhaji Musa Kamale warned the NWC to respect themselves and stop
dancing to the gallery as the state chapter will not accept the one
month suspension of its chairman and secretary.
Another speaker Alhaji Kawu Gawi warned of mass defection to other
parties should the one month suspension is not lifted.
In a response, Chief Joel Madaki said things will fall apart unless
due processes were followed.
