Sequel to the World Health Organization recent declaration on Nigeria and Senegal as Ebola Virus free society in Africa the Catholic Bishop of Awka, Most Rev. Paulinus Ezeokafor has advised Nigerians to maintain internal and active vigilance approach and cleaner environment always.
He gave the advice during the 7th Deanery Convention of C.W.O Amawbia Deanary at Saint Mathew Catholic Church, Amawbia, Anambra state, pointing out that active surveillance should be a collective responsibility of all and sundry.
Bishop Ezeokafor, who commended President Goodluck Jonathan and all stakeholders and development partners that made it possible to contain the Ebola outbreak in Nigeria, charged that such dexterity invested in the fight against Ebola Virus Disease should be replicated in other major areas of need in the Women and Youth Empowerment Mechanism.
