The political terrain inĀ Imo State against the 2015 gubernatorial exercise appears to present what may be one of the more interesting political exercises in the nation. This is as information available to 247ureports.com indicates that one of the major political players [Chief Martin Agbaso] in Imo State has decided to join the political fray to contest for the gubernatorial seat under the party banner of the All Progressive Grand Alliance [APGA]. Chief Martin Agbaso is expected to announce his entry into the gubernatorial race, next week.
It is recalled that Chief Martin Agbaso was popularly believed to have won the 2007 gubernatorial elections under the APGA against the Progressive People Alliance [PPA] candidate, Chief Ikedi Ohakim – who was declared the winner by the Independent National Electoral Commission [INEC]. The declaration by the INEC was considered controversial by the large segment of Imo state voters.
