Minister of State for Works, Prince Adedayo Adeyeye has assured the people of Osun State that there will another Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) victory dance in the State this week, saying; โEkiti State has through our Governor-Elect, Dr Ayodele Fayose opened the floodgate of victory for the PDP in the Southwest and nothing will stop the victory ship from berthing in Osun State on Saturday.โ
Adeyeye, who expressed confidence that the PDP candidate in the Osun State governorship election billed for next Saturday, Senator Iyiola Omisore will secure a landslide victory on Saturday, said; โOsun people have shown that they are tired of All Progressives Congress (APC) government of deceit and are ready for a change.โ
In a release issued in Ado-Ekiti on Sunday, the Minister said Nigerians should ask Governor Rauf Aregbesola why he was contesting theAugust 9 election meant for Osun State, added that; โit is funny that Aregbesola, who calls himself Governor of the State of Osun is contesting Osun State governorship election.โ
He described what Ekiti people were going through under the APC government of Dr Kayode Fayemi as a childs-play compared to the level of hardship the government of Rauf Aregbesola had inflicted on the people of Osun State.
โIn Ekiti, cooperative funds running to several billions of naira deducted from March, April, May and June salary of the government workers are yet to be remitted into the accounts of the cooperatives societies.
โThe situation in Osun is not different, as funds had to be mobilised from other APC controlled States before the workers could get May, June and July salary.
โThe entire education system in Osun State has been destroyed with the merger of Muslim Schools with Christian Schools, and demolition of schools established over 50 years ago.
โTherefore, the people of Osun are eagerly waiting for Saturday to come so that they can put an end to the APC misgovernance in their State, and no amount of noise-making, propaganda and falsehood can stop PDP victory.โ
