A University Don, Dr. Emeka Osuji has added voice to other good Nigerians in extolling the virtues of Imo Deputy Governor, Prince Eze Madumere, describing him as rare politician of simplicity and integrity.
Speaking at his Ngor-Okpala home yesterday evening, Dr. Osuji stated that Prince Madumere is a rare breed who has refused to be changed by the office.
Narrating his recent experience with Imo Deputy Governor, his longtime friend, at Murtala Mohammed Airport, he stated that he saw a man of simplicity to the extent he could not realize he was sitting opposite a deputy Governor. “I could not believe we still have people like this in politics“.
He encouraged Madumere to never deviate from his philosophy. He encouraged Prince Madumere to continue with his style of simplicity and humility. “Your Excellency, I will never take for granted your humility and simplicity. You are different from many politicians we have today who live in a world where only they are significant. I will plead with you not to be in a hurry to leave the stage. You have so much to offer to our State and Nigeria at large“.
Responding, Prince Madumere thanked Dr. Osuji for his friendship and encouragement, assuring him that he will remain the same humble servant as before. He paid tribute to Dr. Osuji late mother describing her as a devout Christian who groomed her children well.
