Bribery: Police Inspector forestalls Defilement Case of 9yr old Girl in Anambra

Efforts made by the family of Mr. Ikechukwu Odah from Enyim Umuoghara, Ezza North Local Government Area of Ebonyi State but currently residing at Ugwuagba-Obosi community, Idemili North council area, Anmbra State to drag one Kenneth Iwunze who is accused to have defiled a-9-year-old girl, Miss Nmesoma Odah recently were allegedly thwarted by Inspector Clement Aleke.

 

Inspector Aleke who allegedly threatened to forestall the investigation on the matter should the father of the victim fails to bribe him with the sum of #30,000 and allowing him to have fun with Mrs. Odah is also accused to have achieved him as the state police command waved off the case.

 

Sharing his views with Journalists in Onitsha at the weekend, the father of Miss Nmesoma lamented that after Kenneth Iwunze allegedly defiled his daughter, police in the state  ended up in sweeping the ungodly act of the suspect under the their bed.

“It is true that Iwunze after romancing with the members of our family on how to resolve the case amicably, it was on the process that he ran to SCID and reported that I and my brothers were threatening him. I was arrested and detained by Inspector Aleke and later granted bail with huge sums of money” Ikechukwu stated.

 

Feeling uncomfortable with the actions of the state police command, Ikechukwu Odah said he contacted International Federation of Women Lawyers, FIDA, Anambra State chapter who waded into the matter but Inspector Aleke in covering what he allegedly swallowed in the dark, warned his suspect never to report back to SCID on the ground that they have closed the case.
