From Nweke Nweke, Onitsha

With about one hundred and eight-four (184) days, (November 2nd 2013–May 6th 2014) after the tragedy that rocked Holy Ghost Adoration ground in Uke, Idemili North council area of Anambra State a baby girl, little Ogechi Faith Aningor who was miraculously brought out from her mother’s womb by medical experts at the death of her mother is today risking been abandoned in a motherless babies home following the inability of her father, Mr. Pius Anigor to afford the bill incurred in the upkeep of the baby.

The mother of the little baby, it was gathered, left her husband’s house at Temple Street, Akuzor village Nkpor Agu Idemili North council area of Anambra State and attended the adoration ministry’s night vigil organized by Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Obimma a.k.a Ebube Muonso on 2nd November, 2013 only to come back with the help of sympathizes with blood stains in all she wore to the House of God.

This was as a result of the fact that the woman who is now late was one of the victims of the pushing and shoving that later turned into great fall and stampede at the closure of the adoration’s night vigil on the wicked day. As people were falling and rolling on the ground, others stepped on people’s heads and bellies and eventually, Mrs. Anigor became a victim of circumstance.

For the fact that the road was sloppy and the ground was also wet on the day of the incident, which compounded the whole situation at the adoration ground, many people tripped over and fell, others rolled on the ground while many got stamped with the mother of little Faith Anigor nicknamed ‘Ebube Muonso’ Anigor by the managers of Mary Perpetual Community Children’s Home situates at Isingwu Street Nkpor Agu near Onitsha as one of the victims.

From the family of the deceased, it was gathered that the woman with seven children and was weighty of the baby that made up the number of her children to eight was the breadwinner of her family following the fact that her husband has stayed many years as an applicant driver. Late Mrs. Anigor had left the house with every expectation of going to evoke God’s protection, blessings to her family and above all; was for God to provide job for her beloved husband, only to left and came back to the house in a condition that is now worse than the period she left the home.

The baby was miraculously brought out of her mother’s belly through surgery by medical experts a day after the calamity as the woman who struggled to survive later died, leaving her little kids, husband and many other relations behind to mourn her departure.

It was gathered that this made Mr. Pius Anigor to be on the cross road over how to nurse the miracle baby not until some of his friends and brothers suggested taking the baby to Christian Motherless babies home for upkeep. Based on the recommendation, the baby was taken to Mary Perpetual Community Children’s Home situates at Isingwu Street Nkpor Agu near Onitsha.

Having seen the predicaments of both the baby and her jobless father, the Reverend Sister in charge of the home, Rev. Sister Simon Peter Mary Nna it was gathered received the baby even without a dime been dropped for the baby’s upkeep, the gesture said to have not been appreciated by Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Obimma a.k.a Ebube Muonso and his Uke Adoration Ministry.

Narrating his ordeal to 247ureports when contacted, Mr. Pius Anigor said; “my wife (now late) had left our house to night vigil at Uke a night before the day of the incident and when I got wind of what happed at Uke, I became restless until she was brought home by some sympathizers. She was already unconscious and I was told that she fell down and other people climbed on her belly as she was eight and some weeks pregnant at that time” Mr. Anigor stated with tears dropping down his chest.

Continuing, he said; “We took my wife to the hospital aimed at reviving her life but after much effort by medical experts to bring her back to life, all to no avail, the last resort at her last breathe was for her to pass through surgery and that was how the baby was saved. On the same day, the baby was taken to Mary Perpetual Community Children’s Home situates at Isingwu Street Nkpor Agu near Onitsha for upkeep” Mr. Anigor stated.

“As at that time, I was not having any money in my house as I have stayed close to three years applicant and my late wife has been the breadwinner of my family. Now that is she is late, I think the best thing left for me is to and commit suicide for there is no way I will stay to see the children given to me by God to be staving” Mr. Anigor lamented

Alleging that the #28m the immediate past governor of Anambra State, Mr. Peter Obi in his benevolence manner gave to the families of the twenty-eight victims of Holy Ghost Adoration ground Uke, which included his wife according to him was denied of him by the workers of Uke Adoration Ministry, Pius Anigor said the members of the ministry had visited him with #55,000 as compensation while other families the tragedy affected got #1m each adding to #55,000 from the Uke Adoration Ministry.

This claim of the man now nursing the children left behind by his wife was dusted to the waste bin by one of the special aides to Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Obimma a.k.a Ebube Muonso whom introduced himself as Okey while reacting to the accusation through GSM chat. Brother Okey said the name of the late woman was not among the list the Adoration Ministry submitted to the Metropolitan Archbishop of Onitsha, Most Rev. Valerian Maduka Okeke who in turn sent same to the then governor of the state.

“Mr. Nweke, don’t involve yourself into trouble by going to tarnish the image of our Adoration, the woman you are talking of never died on the stumpage day but she died days after the day of the incident. It is true that we went and consoled the family with #55,000, it was to be #50,000 and some drinks but due to the request of Mr. Anigor who said he was having nothing in his house, we monetized the drinks and that was why we gave him #55,000.00” Okey stated.

“Ordinarily, we should have said that the woman never attended the Adoration ground but for the sake of God, we went for the condolence and mind you, when we were compiling the names of the victims, nobody brought the name of late Mrs. Pius Anigor to the knowledge of all of us working here including to the knowledge of Ebube Muonso. You can go to the Secretary to the State Government. I know you are recording me but for you to be on the safe side, it is better you did not publish anything for so many of your colleagues has died and many rotten in prison yard over what they wrote” Okey threatened.

When contacted, the manager of Mary Perpetual Community Children’s Home situates at Isingwu Street Nkpor Agu, Sister Simon Peter Mary Nna said; “God through our home has made the baby to turn into a miracle baby considering the circumstances she passed through and we thank God for His works especially in the lives of  baby Ebube Muonso” the clergy stated.

Also reacting, one of the Directors of the motherless babies’ home, Bro. Johnemary Ihizue said their home accommodated the baby without asking for anything considering the circumstance of the baby coming to their home, noting that the monthly upkeep of the baby is #30,000, describing it as unfortunate that the workers of the Adoration Ministry has denied him access to meet with Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Obimma a.k.a Ebube Muonso on his constant visit to Uke in Idemili North Council Area.

However, on the intervention of this reporter, Mr. Pius Anigor who was forbidden from meeting with the powerful man of God was on Thursday the 1st day of May, 2014 invited by Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Obimma a.k.a Ebube Muonso only to be told to go and wait sometime, assuring him that something may likely come from a hard rock at the end of the day while the motherless babies home is on the throat of the agony man

O! Lord, may You grant the dead woman Your perpetual light to shine upon her forever, Amen.
