Two man gang Okada Robbers were shot dead by a policeman on duty in one of the Old generation bank while trying to rob one of their victims.

According to an eye witness Mr. Chris, said that the two robbers fell out of luck while trying to rob one of their victims (woman) who came out of a new generation bank along ever busy Nkpor Limca Road, Onitsha.

Chris noted that the robbers who patrol on motorcycle (Okada) stopped a woman in front of the bank, on trying to rob the woman her purse which she refused them access to, on struggling with them, the mopol policeman on duty got alert and gave the woman sign to bend down – allowing the mopol officers to shot at the robbers, killing them instantly.

247ureports.com gathered that the two armed robbers have been terrorizing and robbing bank customers of their money and other possessions within Onitsha and its environs and have also robbed near the bank last week and escaped being arrested.

The woman, who had only N500 on her as at the time she was being robbed, said she was amazed because she knew she had not enough money on her.
Confirming the killing when contacted, the State Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Mr Emeka Chukwuemeka said that a locally made pistol, motor bike used in the operation and some ammunition were recovered from the robbers.
