Fulani Herdsmen Lay Siege Of Enugu Community, Kills One Enugu Indigene

An indigene of Ibagwa Ezimo in Udenu local Government Area of Enugu State has been killed by suspected Fulani herdsmen.

247ureports.com gathered that the victim, Theophilus Eleje walked into the herdsmen, who laid ambush along the road.

Spokesman of the police in Enugu State, Mr. Ebere Amaraizu, DSP, who confirmed the incident, said the herdsmen operated as armed robbers.

According to Amaraizu, “the suspected Fulani robbers gave matchet cuts on the head of their victim, identified as one Theophilus Eneje as he ran into them. They emerged from the bush”.

He stated that the victim later died owing to the matchet cuts he received.

Amaraizu added that, “manhunt has been intensified in order to arrest the suspects”.
