Vehicular and human activities have started to surge in Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital, Nnewi in Anambra once more, even as resident doctors resume fully at the institution.
Mr Azokwu Ngige, Public Relations Officer of NAUTH, confirmed the resumption of the striking doctors to newsmen in
Onitsha, Anambra on Wednesday via telephone.
“The strike had been called off few days ago, following the payment of IPPS to the striking resident doctors.
“And the institution is witnessing a beehive of activities as all departments and units of the hospital are functioning optimally.
“We believe that the industrial peace in the hospital would remain for long in order to serve our people better health-wise,’’ Ngige said.
It would be recalled that patients admitted in the hospital were sent home on Nov. 22, following the commencement of the strike that lasted for over six days.
