The Chairman Household Utensils Market in Ogbaru, Anambra State Mr. Livinus Obiegeonu at the weekend pleaded with Governor Peter Obi not to Quit Politic after his tenure in March 17th, 2014.
Obiegeonu who spoke at a social function said that it was very early for the governor to abandon politics now that the people are clamoring for his continued aspirations to higher positions following his numerous contributions to the development of the state, political and judicial process of the nation and called on the governor to dump the idea and aspire for national office.
The market leader who alleged to have attributed to the victory of APGA candidate, Chief Willie Obiano in the last governorship election to the developmental strides of the governor, however, praised the election victory of APGA candidate and advised him not to be carried away by his victory at the polls.
He urged him to use the occasion to plan on how best to govern the state before he finally resumes office on March 17th next year.
The market leader who claimed to have mobilized majority of the traders in the market to cast their votes for APGA during the last election thanked the state electorates for making a worthy choice in favour of Chief Obiano and urged him to be magnanimous in victory so as to move the state forward.
He eulogised the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for their “Impartiality” during the entire election period, but suggested that a lot of work needs to be done to clean-up bad eggs within the confines of the commission so as to organise a successful and credible future elections in the country.
