uche ekwunife By Ebere Suzy Okoye Member representing Anaocha/Dunukofia/Njikoka federal constituency and runner-up at the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA Governorship primary election, Mrs. Uche Ekwunife yesterday distributed various gift items to her campaign Organization and supporters. Mrs. Ekwunife while presenting the gifts including bags of rice and other consumables as well as cash said the gesture was to thank her campaign Organization for standing behind her during and after the primary election in the state. She said this year’s Christmas is unique in her life in the sense that God has been very kind to her and her entire family, adding that as she celebrated her 43rd birthday, it was very necessary that she remembered her supporters across the council areas of the state. Mrs. Ekwunife also used the occasion to visit some motherless babies’ homes as part of activities marking her 43rd birthday where she celebrated with the motherless babies and the less privilege persons in the society and urged her supporters to continue to remain calm. Responding, the Director General Uche Ekwunife Campaign Organization, Chief Cyril Uboh thanked the lawmaker for her gestures, adding that the gesture had further reminded them that they are still one and indivisible political block formed for the betterment of the state. He said that with the Christmas gifts showered on them, they have been greatly motivated to know that they have a listening leader who has the interests of her constituents at heart and prayed God to replenish her with more blessings in order to continue to do well. Chief Uboh described Ekwuniife as a role model and a new face of representative democracy and urged other leaders to always emulate her in her undying philanthropic gestures towards her supporters even when election is not around the corner. Mr. Chuka Okpoko also eulogized the lawmaker for remembering them in this Christmas period, stressing that the most significant thing in the gesture was that they were remembered after the election and had been benefiting from Ekwunife for all their supports during and after the election.
