·         Campaign Organisation wants Anambra to reject third term agenda

In an interview with Vanguard Newspapers today, Mr Willie Obiano, the twice registered hand-picked Candidate of All progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) tried to distort facts, side-step major issues and went ahead to impolitely stop a question he could not answer.

Senator Chris Ngige, the candidate of All Progressive Congress (APC) requested Gov Peter Obi to demonstrate to Ndi Anambra what he did with approximately N2 tr (not 3 trillion as Obiano read from the files)as earned by Anambra State from 2006 till date, given that the terrain in Anambra State does not suggest a state that has received such funds.

The sum refers to a total package embodying, Revenue allocation from the federation account, excess crude account, Sure-P, Donor Funds, Internally Generated Revenue (IGR),all at State and Local government level, plus all other sources of revenue.

We stand by that request ,which neither Governor Obi, nor his business partner who has already gone  into illegal agreements with budding godfathers ,seeking third-term control of Anambra State to bleed the state financially.

The simplest way to lay that matter to rest is not to wish is away like Wilie Obiano is doing, but to publish a breakdown of these funds under the given headings for the eight years.

But will the government Obiano is eager to defend without information do so? No! No when they have a lot to hide and Obiano himself has signed away Anambra State funds in advance to budding godfathers.

Regarding the issue of a senator that did not pass one bill, Mr Obiano, who must be suffering a fever from his streak of controversies arising from his duplicity may be forgiven for not knowing that Senator Chris Ngige, the only senator in the Anambra State gubernatorial race has 10 private member bills to his credit, including the Farmers Registration Council Bill which seeks to guarantee food security for the whole country.

Obiano, who has two registration cards and is up against  the Electoral Act and the Criminal Code may be forgiven ,as a nataad and unwilling Wilie, if he does not realise that Ngige who at a point represented three senatorial zones of Anambra State well because the other seats were vacant, co-sponsored tens of bills serving in Seven Committees.

The unsettled candidate of APGA may not understand that Ngige has constituency projects dotted through the nooks and crannies of Anambra State (three senatorial zones), managed from eight constituency offices  ,with personal touch to the Anambra Central Constituency he represents.

Mr Willie Obiano who erroneously claim to be a ‘doctor’ may not understand the extent of satisfaction and the passion that connect Anambra a people and Senator Dr Chris Ngige, not just because of his partisan leaning, but because he was hurriedly brought back from outside the country and outside the government to be a ‘caretaker in government’, while power resides elsewhere.

Indeed, we are surprised that Mr Obiano lost a golden opportunity to tell the people of Anambra State and Nigeria how a man outside government, will employ continuity as a slogan and try to what convince a discerning people that he can continue better that the predecessor that was upstaged in a judicial coup.

Finally we urge Ndi Anambra to continue to reject Obi’s third term plot, which is what the candidature of Mr (Doctor) Willie Obiano represents and to vote for the ready, experienced candidate with a workable 12-point manifesto, Senator Chris Nwabueze Ngige to return Anambra State to sound footing.
