Rivers PDP says Amaechi feeds APC with Rivers resources

The Rivers state People Democratic Party, has accused governor
Chibuike Amaechi of feeding the All Progressive Congress with billion
of naira belonging to Rivers people on the formation, maintenance and
funding of the party.
The PDP who made this in statement via special adviser on media Jerry
Nadeem to the state chairman bro Felix Obuah  said Amaechi funding of
the opposition party’s activities was his quest to secure a platform
to actualize his 2015 political ambition.
Stating that it is unfortunate and a disgrace to the political system,
the party said APC does not have a clear and progressive party
manifesto and  with that it has proven that the APC  is losing focus
on events in the country as it has also reduce itself  to a weapon of
political war for governor Amaechi.
They said from inception the All Progressive Congress has never hidden
it identity and means of subsistence.
Noting that it is not a hidden fact that the party is feeding on
Rivers state resources made available to it by governor Amaechi who
has exhibited prodigality in governance and in the management of the
state resources.
However, reacting to statement credited to the publicity secretary of
the APC , Alhaji Lai Mohammed  in respect of the claim by Amaechi of
being stopped by the police from entering government house, the party
said that is a product and manifestation of financial relationship
between the governor and the  opposition party.
Rivers PDP called on people of the state and Nigerians not to take the
APC’S statement seriously, urging the opposition party to function
with some level of civility and strive to  provide a true credible and
independent platform for the opposition.
