Malachy Agbo, THE CITIZEN Publisher loses Father

PRESS STATEMENT
The father of Malachy Agbo, the publisher of THE CITIZEN newspaper, Mr. Titus Agbo, passed on Sunday, July 28, 2013 after a brief illness. He was aged 76.
Malachy, in a statement on behalf of the family, said Mr. Agbo, a devout Christian and revered community leader, was born into the family of late Pa Elejere Agbo and late Madam Ogbuabor Attama of Ohodo in Igbo-Etiti LGA of Enugu State.
“He was a retired primary school teacher that rose to the peak of his career as Headmaster Special. Known for his kindness and love for education, he will be missed by many that look up to him for mentorship,” the statement said.
According to the statement, his remains will be laid to rest on Saturday, August 10, 2013 after a Mass at his compound at Amufi quarters, Achara in Ohodo at 10 a.m.
Papa Agbo is survived by his wife, Mrs. Loretta Agbo, children and grandchildren, including Mr. Malachy Agbo and Mr. Clifford Ikechukwu Agbo, a lawyer with the National Bureau of Statistics. He is also survived by brothers, sisters, uncles nephews and cousins.
