Information available to 247ureports.com indicates that the Jigawa state Nigerian civil and security command stormed the residence of suspected dealers and distributor of illegal drugs in Gumel local government. Information gathered indicated that the security agents succeeded in discovering bundles and cartons of illegal drugs.
During the operation, one of the officials of the command – was said to have discovered large quantity of intoxicating drugs with hundreds of carton of liquid substances – and several bags of Indian helm worth over millions of naira.
According to the commandant of the command Alhaji Mohammed Gidado Fari, all the exhibits were taken to the commands office for investigation. He explained that the arrest of the material include the discovery of dangerous weapons – including machetes and guns.
He revealed that one of the suspects escaped – and is presently on the run. But the command was able to arrest illegal chemist operator in Ringim. They include Usman Lawal, aged 34years, Chukuma Amara, aged 35years and Promise Eze, aged 21years.
The suspects, according to the commander were handed over to the NDLEA for proper investigation. He called on the NDLEA officials to take the suspect to court after conducting their investigation
