Rivers State Governor Chibuike Amaechi says those criticizing his administration for not performing are only looking for a way to gain political relevance in the State.
Governor Amaechi stated this while declaring open the first Council of Information summit organized by the Rivers State Ministry of Information and Communications in Port Harcourt.
He said some lapses in the completion of projects is also as a result of some Rivers indigenes who has abandoned contracts awarded to them and yet they end up criticizing him.
Governor Amaechi emphasized that transparency is key to his administration to ensure that the yearning and aspirations of the people are achieved.
He urged Media practitioners to call on Politicians to deliver on their electioneering promises.
The theme for the conference if “Public information management, a tool for good governance”.
