Gov. Al-Makura Applauds Jonathan For Army Battalion, Mobile Base

Nasarawa state Governor, Umaru Tanko Al-Makura has commended President Jonathan for the establishment of Army battalion in Doma Local Government and mobile squadron base 56 in Lafia.

The Governor applauded the gigantic effort of the Federal Government for creating an enabling environment for peace to thrive.

The Governor gave the commendation while inaugurating a 9 man Judicial Commission of Inquiry at House in Lafia.

Al-Makura said the establishment of Army battalion in Doma and mobile squadron base in Lafia deserved commendation.

He however said the presence of Army battalion and mobile base is a panacea to lingering crisis in the state.

He also eulogized the federal Government for the provision of helicopter for surveillance of the hard-to go areas.

He also applauded President Jonathan for the procurement of Armour Personal Carrier (APC), peace is gradually returning to Nasarawa state as security are beefed off at most of the volatile and crisis prone zone.

  1. This is laudable. However, the people of kaduna south have been yearning for a similar gesture at Gonin gora by Abuja Junction for years without success. This is simply because the victims at gonin gora are always Muslims. The life is a cycle,be warned.
