Umaru Tanko Al-Makura of Nasarawa state has assured the people of the state of core dividend of democracy to the electorate, The Governor aver that the provision of dividend of democracy became the cardinal objective of the CPC Government, Attesting to the people of the state that the two years of his regime marks a beginning of good things to come, adding that we are changing the gear of our movement.
Governor Al-Makura stated this while addressing politicians from Nasarawa west senatorial zone who paid him a courtesy call, The Governor while commending the conglomeration of astute politicians and seasoned administrators lead by a former communication minister, Retired General Abdullahi Aboki and then military Governor of Kwarra state assured the people of his determination and commitment towards effecting total transformation of all sectors of the economy.
calling on all and sundry to eschew violence at all times, adding that the ethnic and communal violence distracted people of the state the opportunity to enjoyed the dividend of democracy provided to them, saying troublemakers in the state are chasing shadows and will not deter him from discharging his responsibility as the chief executive officer .
Governor Al-Makura said the quest for change which was the bench mark of the current regime of the Congress for Progressive Change was mar by rectitude, selfishness, narrow interest, distraction which he said present rift was a calculated attempt to jeopardized the track records of the incumbent administration .charging members of the Joint Task Force to ensured the enforcement of laws and order, saying the state Government has proscribed Ombatse militia group it now remains in the hand of security outfit to ensured the implementation of the law.
Leader of the team, General Abdullahi Aboki retired expressed shock over the incident in the state, describing the scenario as archaic, adding that even in war time no security personnel were killed like this, advising the state Governor to take a decisive decision by bringing those behind the mutiny to book, Aboki said stakeholders in the CPC fold will continue to support the Governor in addressing the pervasive crisis that rock the state.
“your excellency sir, I will like you to know that you are the chief executive of the state and I urge you to leave up to expectation by arresting all disgruntled elements that herald the unaddressed ethnic and communal violence in the state”.Said General Aboki.
