Nasarawa Killings: Police widows fight over decomposing corpses

Information available to 247ureports.com indicate that the crisis in Nasarawa over the killings of Nigerian police officers and the killings of traditionalists of Eggon may have taken a turn. The families of the death security operatives deployed to arrest the spiritual father of Ombatse, Eggon militant were caught in a ‘fight’ over the decomposed  corpses  of mobile police officers, State Security Service [SSS] officers and policemen killed at Ombatse shrine. This was according to one of the widows.

She narrated her ordeal to 247ureports.com. There was rift over the ownership of unrecognized corpses  that had decomposed beyond recognition. This was as some of the families and relatives of the deceased called on police authority to release their bodies – which lead to confusion at Dalhatu Araf Specialist Hospital.
Also at the command of the State Security Services (SSS) Wives of a slain SSS officer rejected the N1m compensation offered by the Nasarawa state Government. The aggrieved woman expressed displeasure over the refusal of the authority of SSS to assist her with an ambulance to convey the corpses of her husband .
