- Says It Has Not Changed Its Exam Date
Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has restated its commitment to conduct a hitch-free 2013 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
This is even as the board said it has not changed the date of 2013 UTME.
The JAMB Public Relation Officer (PRO) Mr Fabian Benjamin, in a press release made available to newsmen yesterday in Abuja said the reassurance became necessary in view of a newspaper publication which says that the Federal Government may have cancelled UTME examination.
The Board according to him wishes to state that as a responsible and responsive organisation, its not averred to innovation, changes and government policies skewed to improve the lot of the sector but reiterates that it has not changed the date of 2013 UTME.
Consequently, candidates are informed that the Board’s 2013 UTME slated for April 27 will take place as scheduled. And the dates for the Computer Based Test (CBT) will also be communicated to candidates’ soon.
According to him, arrangements have been completed as relevant stakeholders have been sensitized and briefed about the examination while the Board has deployed all necessary logistics and materials to all designated centres preparatory to the examination.
