The commercial town of Aba in Abia state would soon enjoy steady power supply .This was disclosed by the Chief Press Secretary to the state governor, Mr. Ugochukwu Emezue while speaking with newsmen in Umuahia.
Emezue stated the state government and the Geometric Power company are working together to ensure that Aba Electricity company becomes functional in due course.
He added that the when the project is completed, Aba and its environs would enjoy uninterrupted power supply and described the project as priority for the year.
The Chief Press Secretary maintained that tackling the problem of power supply in Aba is in line with Gov. Theodore Orji’s plans to restore the glory of the commercial town.
“When the power project is completed, most of the small scale enterprises and bigger industries which made Aba the envy of other cities in Nigeria would come up again,” he said.
Emezue also assured that the governor would sustain his policy on security due to the gains already recorded in the investment sector.
“Abia is the most peaceful state in Nigeria today because of the comprehensive approach adopted by Gov. Orji in handling security matters,” Emezue boasted.
