Enugu Acting Gov. hails Nebo’s appointment as Power Minister

The Acting Governor of Enugu State, Mr. Sunday Onyebuchi, has
commended President Goodluck Jonathan over the recent appointment of
Professor Chinedu Nebo as the Minister of Power describing it as
astute and well thought.
The Acting Governor in a message said that Nigeria and the power
sector in particular, stood to gain tremendously from the Minister’s experience and track record in management of difficult public offices
and assignments.

He also thanked the President for the honour done to Enugu State in
appointing two of her indigenes to head the Power Ministry in a row
saying that his confidence in the abilities of the state’s indigenes
will not go unrewarded.

Describing the Minister’s responsibilities as sensitive, daunting and
onerous, the Acting Governor expressed confidence in his abilities to
excel and urged him to go about his duties with resolve and to reject
all efforts that may be made by unpatriotic elements in the sector to
distract or frustrate him.

He also called on Nigerians to offer their prayers and support to the
Minister in the discharge of his duties more so as his success in the
office would have far reaching positive effects on their lives and on
the rapid socio-economic development of the nation.
