Social Media Network Team for President Goodluck Jonathan has ended a
one-day workshop on smooth society and government relations in
Yenagoa, Bayelsa State Capital.
The workshop, with the theme: “Social Media Network and the importance
of President Goodluck Jonathan Transformation Agenda,” was organized
by Social Media Practitioners in the country on how to build smooth
society and government relations for the present administration in the
country.
It was aimed at encouraging social media practitioners to develop
interest in the propagation of federal government initiative to better
the lot of Nigerians and challenge them on how to make a social media
network in creating awareness of programmes and policies of the
federal government to the people.
The Director General/workshop facilitator of Social Media Network Team
for President Goodluck Jonathan, Chief Jones Abiri JP, said the
workshop was in response to fault critics and opposition’s deliberate
lack of understanding on the policies and programmes of President
Goodluck Jonathan by feeding suspecting Nigerians with faulty
information.
According to Chief Abiri, Social Media Network Team for President
Goodluck Jonathan is a Non- Governmental Organization (NGO) and has
been networking for the past one year.
Chief Jones Abiri who is a Newspaper Publisher and online Editor
further said, President Goodluck Jonathan, apart from being a very
good man who means well for the country, is grossly misunderstood
stressing that his positive side is under reported by the Nigerian
media since the inception of his administration.
Speaking on behalf of other participants, Mr. Isaac Olamikan said the
workshop was most meaningful idea that was conceived by Chief Jones
Abiri in order to enlighten Nigerians and the world as designed by
oppositions for deliberate misinformation of President Goodluck
Jonathan developments in the country.
The Team Director of Research and Planning, Mallam Ahmed Yakubu also
described the workshop as one of the best ways of demonstrating
President Goodluck Jonathan Transformation Agenda which is service to
the people.
Participants at the workshop were visibly overjoyed to have learnt on
Social Media Network in projecting the good works of President
Jonathan led administration in the country and they described Chief
Jones Abiri as an internet guru from the media centre at large.
