Abia State governor, Chief Theodore Orji says the call for partnership with Abians in Diaspora to develop the state, is working.

 

The governor who spoke through the Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Ugochukwu Emezue, expressed happiness that his town hall meeting in theUnited States of America has begun yielding fruits as Ikwuano/ Umuahia doctors in America, came to Abia on a free medical trip.

 

Orji maintained that government alone cannot do everything hence the need to involve corporate organizations and individuals in the development process.

 

He disclosed that the medical team will offer free medical services to Abians, particularly surgical operations.

The governor called on the people of the state to take advantage of the opportunity offered by the state and the team to address their health problems.

 

He expressed gratitude to the president of Ikwuano/ Umuahia people in the United States, Lawrence Odoemenam for his efforts in ensuring that the medical team got to the state for the programme.
