The curfew imposed on Kaduna state following the violence that trailed the bombing of three Churches and subsequent reprisal attacks in the state has been further relaxed across the state.
A press release issued by the Senior Assistant on Media to the Governor, Mr Reuben Buhari stated: “In view of the improved peaceful coexistence witnessed in Kaduna state, the security council of the state has further relaxed the curfew hours as follows; the hours of free movement for Kaduna south, Kaduna North, Chikun and Igabi is 6am to 7pm, While for the 19 remaining LGs is 6am to 8pm.
“The Government commends the entire good people of Kaduna state over the returned of normalcy and urge all to continue to be law abiding”.
The relaxed curfew according to Mr Buhari takes effect from yesterday, Tuesday, 3rd July. He restated government’s commitment towards the peace and welfare of her citizenry, while urging all to eschew bitterness and all forms of violence and embrace peaceful coexistence at all levels.
