Information available to 247ureports.com indicates that an explosion occurred near a shopping center close to the Banex Plaza in Wuse Abuja, Nigeria. It is believed that the explosion may have resulted from a car explosion – possibly rigged car parked along the main road in front of the shopping complex.
Eyewitness reports indicate that the vehicle did not explode inside the shopping complex – and sominimal damage was done to the shopping complex. He source stated that the explosion occurred after working hours [9:50pm] – that most of the shop owners/workers had closed shop at the time of the explosion. The Police presence is reported to be ‘much’ – and they have blocked all entrances to the area.
The police have unofficially confirmed the incident.
