The Senate on Wednesday has passed a motion empowering President Goodluck Jonathan to crush members of Jama’atu Ahli Sunna lid Da’awati wal Jihad popularly known as Boko Haram.
The Senate under the leadership of the Deputy Senate President, Sen. Ike Ekweremadu, ordered the Federal Government to launch operation fire for fire on the Islamist terrorist group who are responsible for lost of thousands of lives since 2009.
Today’ session which lasted for several hours, unanimously grant the Federal Government enough power to crumple on the sect, who posed a threat to the national security of the country.
