Information available to 247ureports.com indicates that the State Security Services [SSS] arrested the former governor ofย Kano State, Malam Shekarau in connection with hisย sponsorship of the terrorist Islamic group, Boko Haram while heย served as the governor of Kano State. The arrest was made inย Kano today.
Details of the said arrest remain sketchy but the media assistant to the former governor[ Sule Yau Sule] denies the said arrest by the men of SSS, stating that it was “absolute lie”. Other sources in Kanoย xplained that the men of SSS did not arrest the former governor, that he was only invited for questioning.
The former governor is slated to address the media tomorrow morning in Kano.
