Information reaching 247ureports.com indicates that the All Progressive Grand Alliance [APGA] has elected a new national chairman and a new national executive.
Dr. Victor Ike Oye was elected as the new chairman while the former Honorable Ministry of Information was elected the national secretary.
Dr. Oye hails from Amawbia in Anambra State. He attended University of Lagos where he earned a bachelors degree in Mass Communication before earning his Masters Degree in Mass Communication in the United Kingdom. He had worked in Abia State under the administration of Orji Uzor Kalu.
The election was held at the national convention at the Women Development Center in Awka – the capital of Anambra State on June 6, 2015. The election serves as the end of the Chief Victor Umeh era. Chief Umeh had held sway over the party affairs as the chairman for over 10years.
A representative from the Independent National Electoral Commission [INEC] was present to monitor the exercise.
