The NIgerian Union of Mine Workers (NUMW) has charged Governor Charles Soludo and his Deputy Dr Onyekachukwu Ibezim to be magnanimous in victory noting that the election is over and all should be carried along in their course of governance.
The Union also commended the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC for it’s brilliant and superlative performance in ensuring free fair and transparent election urging them to replicate same in subsequent elections across the country.
According to the Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Mine Workers (NUMW) and Heavy Equipment Operator section (Caterpillar Operators), Anambra State, Comrade Onyah Kelvin Chimbuzor in his congratulatory message which he personally signed and made available to newsmen on Thursday in awka the state capital, the election of victory of Governor Charles Soludo and Deputy Governor Onyekachukwu Ibezim at the poll was a testament of the people’s confidence in the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) led administration of Prof. Soludo and the INEC.
“I commend the Governor and his Deputy for their successful and victorious emergence as duly elected Governor and Deputy Governor for another four years (second term) in office,” the message stated.
“We further task the Governor and his deputy to be magnanimous in victory by carrying everybody and groups along as the Government takes charge for another four years of his second term,” he urged.
The union further lauded, “the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the successful conduct of the gubernatorial poll and for issuing certificates of return to the governor and his deputy on Tuesday November 11th 2025.”
Onyah noted that the victory of Governor Soludo and his deputy Ibezim as well as the ruling APGA on Saturday November 8, 2025 was another historical milestone for the people of Anambra state.
He applauded Soludo’s achievements for touching many lives across the state.
“It is on record that for the past three years Governor Soludo has been on the saddle he has proven that the APGA led administration means well for Ndi Anambra with the massive network of roads that caught across the 21 LGAs and three Senatorial districts of the state, construction of bridges, building of the new government house, opening of new towns, markets, improvement in security of lives and property, the Solution Fun City and several other infrastructure projects,” Onyah said.
*Today, Anambra state is rated as one of the fastest growing state capitals in the South East geo political zone with the widespread road infrastructure built by the Soludo’s government.”
“In addition, Anambra people now heave a sigh of relieve that crime and criminalities have been reduced to the nearest minimum as against what used to be the case in most town and communities.
This is courtesy of the governor’s initiative of the constitution of the Agunechemba and Udo Ga Chi security operatives.”

“We also want to commend the INEC for the successful conduct of the governorship election and for timely deployment of electoral materials and personnel that aided the smooth and violent free exercise in Anambra state.”
“The NUMW State Chairman also calls on the INEC to stick to the latest track record of free, fair and credible electoral process in future elections so that Nigerians will continue to enjoy peaceful transition in leadership at all levels of governance such that democracy continues to thrive to the admiration of all and sundry in the country.”
“In addition the NUMW leadership expresses appreciation to all the security agencies for their unparalleled, strategic and courageous approach which contributed immensely to make the gubernatorial election a huge success,” Onyah stated.
“We salute the courage of the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Agbetokun and his team, the Nigeria Army, DSS, NSCDC and other whose professionalism and commitment led to the proven success of the election.*
