The Traditional Ruler of Ikenga Community in Aguata local government area of Anambra state Igwe Chinonso Vitus Ezeokafor would on the 19th of July be arranged before the Ekwulobia High Court for alleged forgery and impersonation.
Recall that Ikenga Community have been neck deep in a long drawn Chieftaincy tussle over who becomes the Monarch of the Town as other aspirants to the thrown had alleged that he failed to meet the laid down guidelines for the contest of the thrown.

He was reported elected as the Traditional Ruler which led to the disagreement of his fellow aspirants.
According to Charge No ; A/ 12C / 2025 of Aguata High Court instituted by the Commissioner for Justice and Attorney General of Anambra state FC Okeke ESQ, who is the State Counsel Ministry of Justice Awka ,
The six count charges according to the suit read thus ;
State V Chinonso Vitus Ezeokafor;
“The court is informed by the Honorable Attorney General of Anambra State on behalf of the state , the Chinonso Vitus Ezeokafor is charged with the following offences .”
“Contrary to section 495 (a) of the Criminal Code 36 Vol 11 Revised Law of Anambra state 1991 Chinonso Vitus Ezeokafor and others on and about the year 2023 at Ikenga Town within the jurisdiction of this Court did conspire among themselves to commit felony to wit ; forgery, uttering of false documents, fales
declaration, Fraudulent misrepresentation and perjury”
“Forgery contrary to section 443(1) of the Criminal Code Cap 36 Vol 11 Reversed laws of Anambra state 1991 (as amended) “
“On and about the year 2023 at Ikenga Town within the jurisdiction of this Court did with intent to defraud and obtain an undue advantage, forged a West African School Certificate Result with Examination number 40815040 322which is WAEC result belonging to Ogboji Agnes “
Other charges include uttering false documents, false declaration and statements contrary to section 117 of the Criminal Code Cap 36 Vol 11 Revised Law of Anambra state 1991 (as amended) “
Also the offence according to the suit is contrary to section 444 of of the Criminal Code Cap 36 Vol 11 Revised Law of Anambra state.
He said to have been disqualified by the committee for Igwe Selection process but later had his way and got elected and installed as Igwe Ikenga.
Following the petition from some prominent and concerned members of Ikenga at the Nigerian Police Force Zonal Headquarters , Zone 13 Ukpo, the Assistant Inspector General of Police after a thorough investigation, recommended that Chinonso Vitus Ezeokafor be charged to a Court of competent jurisdiction.
Consent upon the above, the office of the AG looked at the same case and filled an information before the High court of Justice Ekwulobia for arraignment.
