AWKA — Former Governor of Anambra State and presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Mr. Peter Obi, has extended formal congratulations to Professor Charles Soludo following his swearing-in for a second term in office.
In a statement released on Tuesday, Obi conveyed his best wishes to the Governor, emphasizing the importance of dedicated service to the people. He expressed optimism that the new administration would prioritize “greater progress and development” for the state over the next four years.
“As always, I wish him success in serving the people, and I hope this term brings greater progress and development,” Obi stated, concluding with a prayer for the welfare of the citizens of Anambra and the nation at large.
The inauguration, which took place at the Alex Ekwueme Square in Awka, was attended by a cross-section of political leaders and dignitaries. Soludo, representing the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), begins his second mandate following a decisive victory in the November 2025 governorship election.
Observers note that Obi’s message of goodwill underscores a rare moment of political decorum amidst the state’s competitive partisan landscape.
