The Kano State House of Assembly has dismissed as baseless reports alleging plans to impeach Deputy Governor Aminu Gwarzo. In a statement issued in Kano on Saturday, Assembly spokesperson Kamaluddeen Shawai described the claims as “unfounded and lacking merit,” urging the public to disregard them.
No reasons were given for the alleged impeachment plot, and the Assembly maintains that Gwarzo remains a key part of the state government. The denial comes amid speculation about internal political dynamics in Kano State [1].
