The Bauchi State Government says its commitment to good governance and sectoral reforms has begun to yield positive results, following the conferment of the Governor of the Year Award for the Oil and Gas Sector on Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed.
The award, bestowed by the Oil and Gas Forum, acknowledges the administration’s transformational leadership and its growing impact on development, investor confidence, and institutional reforms.
Commissioner for Information and Communications, Hon. Usman Shehu Usman, who received the award on behalf of the governor, said Bauchi State is increasingly attracting development partners and investors with concrete commitments.
“Good governance as being experienced in Bauchi State has started yielding results. We are receiving development partners and investors, and signing human and economic Memoranda of Understanding across key sectors,” he said.
He added that the award is a testament to the progress being made in the state and recognition by professional bodies of the government’s reform agenda.
Usman congratulated the organisers of the Oil and Gas Forum on the successful hosting of its third edition and commended their consistency in promoting excellence in the sector.
