Abuja, Nigeria – The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has called on its affiliate unions to mobilize workers for a mass protest scheduled for Tuesday, February 3, 2026, citing unmet demands and unresolved issues affecting workers’ welfare.

In a statement signed by Comrade Stephen Knabayi, Chairperson of NLC FCT Council, workers are directed to assemble at Labour House at 7am, dressed in their respective union attire. The protest aims to draw attention to workers’ grievances and push for concrete actions from the government.

The NLC has provided specific mobilization targets for each affiliate union, with varying numbers of workers expected to participate. The protest involves multiple unions, including MHWUN, NUT, TUC, NULGE, and others.
