From Mohammed Nasir Shuaibu, BAUCHI
Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State has assured the Federal Government and the North-East Development Commission (NEDC) of the state government’s full ownership and support for all ongoing and completed intervention projects in the state.
The Governor gave the assurance while receiving the Minister of State for Regional Development, Alhaji Uba Maigari Ahmadu, alongside members of the Board and Management of the NEDC, on a courtesy visit to the Government House, Bauchi.
Earlier, the Minister explained that the delegation was in the state to conduct an on-the-spot assessment of ongoing projects and to commission completed NEDC interventions across Bauchi State.
He said the team would remain in the state for several days to inspect projects in critical sectors such as health, infrastructure and education, noting that the interventions were designed to address key developmental challenges and improve the living standards of residents.
Governor Mohammed described the visit as timely and symbolic, especially as Bauchi State marks its 50th anniversary, and commended the Federal Government for its sustained commitment to the development of the state and the North-East region.
