Abuja – Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister Nyesom Wike has lashed out at workers who protested against his administration, saying he won’t be intimidated or blackmailed. In a video shared by Voice TV Nigeria, Wike revealed he heard workers abusing him, saying “this is not Rivers State”, but warned that he’s in charge of Abuja and won’t let anyone stagnate his administration.
“Abuja may not be Rivers State, but I’m the one in charge here,” Wike said, adding that those who want to play politics should come out openly. “If you want to play politics, then come out face to face, let me know that I’m facing you politically,” he challenged.
Wike’s response comes after FCT workers protested, expressing dissatisfaction with his administration. The minister’s remarks suggest he’s determined to push ahead with his agenda, despite opposition.
