Kaduna, Nigeria – The Kaduna Scribes, a prominent professional forum, has dismissed claims that Southern Kaduna, particularly Kauru Local Government Area, has been neglected amidst rising insecurity. In a statement, the forum described reports by Sahara Reporters as “misleading and unfounded”, stressing that Governor Uba Sani’s administration has implemented deliberate and proactive security measures.
The statement, signed by National Chairman Comrade Ezekiel Gambo, acknowledged isolated security incidents in Kauru and other communities but attributed the situation to the complexity of tackling insurgency and banditry. The forum emphasized that Governor Sani has prioritized protection of lives, restoration of peace, and promotion of unity across Southern Kaduna and the wider state.
*Security Measures Implemented:*
– Intelligence-driven security strategy with collaboration and inclusiveness
– Regular high-level security meetings with service chiefs and stakeholders
– Enhanced troop deployments and patrols in vulnerable communities
– Engagement with traditional rulers, youth groups, and religious leaders
– Rehabilitation programs for displaced persons
The Kaduna Scribes urged community leaders and stakeholders to support ongoing security efforts through constructive engagement, rather than amplifying narratives that could heighten fear or disrupt operations. The forum reaffirmed its confidence in Governor Sani’s commitment to rescuing abducted persons, safeguarding lives and property, and consolidating lasting peace across Southern Kaduna.
