AWKA, ANAMBRA STATE – The Anambra State Executive Council (ANSEC) has formally awarded a significant infrastructure contract for the construction and dualization of the 3:3-Nsugbe to Aguleri Road, signaling a major state-funded initiative to boost regional connectivity.
The project, valued at precisely ₦15,956,407,246.25 (Fifteen Billion, Nine hundred and fifty-six Million, Four hundred and seven thousand, two hundred and forty-six Naira, and Twenty-five Kobo), was approved during a recent ANSEC session on Wednesday, January 21, 2026.

The contract has been awarded to Ferotex Construction Company and encompasses the full dualization of the road alongside the construction of a critical 1-span bridge.

State government officials indicated that the dualization of this essential artery is expected to dramatically alleviate existing traffic congestion and enhance commercial flow between the communities of Nsugbe and Aguleri, and the broader state capital region. The approval reinforces the current administration’s stated commitment to delivering crucial infrastructure projects across all local government areas in the state.
