From Mohammed Nasir Shuaibu BAUCHI
Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State has commended the Nigerian Army for its sustained commitment to internal security and peace across the state, describing the military as a critical partner in safeguarding lives and property.
The governor gave the commendation on Saturday at the 2025 West African Social Activities (WASA) ceremony organised by the 33 Brigade of the Nigerian Army at Shadawanka Barracks, Bauchi.
Represented by the State Chief Security Adviser, retired Deputy Inspector-General of Police, Sani Mohammed, the governor said peace and security remain a top priority of his administration, noting that a secure environment is essential for socio-economic development.
He applauded officers and soldiers of the 33 Brigade for their professionalism, resilience and patriotism, urging them to remain focused in the discharge of their constitutional duties.
Governor Mohammed also described WASA as a unifying military tradition that strengthens discipline, morale and civil-military relations, while reaffirming the state government’s continued support for the Nigerian Army and other security agencies.
