Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has reacted to criticism from the Rivers State House of Assembly, saying “a dog barks only when it doesn’t understand”.
Fubara made the comment while addressing journalists at the Government House in Port Harcourt, responding to allegations made by the Assembly.
The governor emphasized that his administration is focused on delivering dividends of democracy to the people, despite attempts to undermine his efforts.
He urged critics to allow him to work, stating that history would judge his performance.
Fubara’s comments come amid tensions between his administration and the Assembly, with the latter accusing him of disrespecting the institution.
